Espinosa has showed bunt twice in his last three at-bats. Desperate times...

Somehow I doubt Eckstiein measures his success or failure inning by inning.

Just overreacting here.  It seems our offense is either feast or famine, and it's definitely the latter so far this series.  Lack of clutch hitting is the same problem this team had back in April and May.

I'm sure he's proud of what they accomplished this season... over 162 games which is a representation of what the team can do... and not a single game.

regular season is nice and all but the post-season is where its at. last thing I want is another caps season

You can add Ryan Zimmerman in there

Can't touch a fastball in the zone down the middle, Werth?

:wtf:

how many innings has Harper lead off?  he'll look better now with a power pitcher up.

I'm sure if the Nats lose, Espinosa is going to nag and nag about the batters eye like he did in Spring Training.

He should sit during day games.

I think Espinosa's shoulder is bothering him again.  This series looks just like the Atlanta series.

It would have been better to hit him.

Too bad the Nats let Garcia off the hook early.  I'll take the split in St. Louis, the Cardinals have had about as much success in DC as the Nats have had in St. Louis.

He warmed up Michael Gonzalez but why didn't he put him in there? I'm baffled. Stammen isn't worth a crap.

Lack of accountablilty has doomed the Phillies.

Hopefully that is not our fate.  Zim, Morse and LaRoche have not been good down the stretch.
