Absolutely idiotic play by Simmons. Totally moronic.

So the wife comes into the living room and wants to know who the "A"'s are playin'.     I asked, "What are you talking about?"    Sez she,   "They have "A"s on their helmets."    Gawd help me.

So is the consensus here that most people want to play the Braves?

This is really strange.  I just laugh every time something bad happens to Atlanta.  I want to play Atlanta but I can't seem to be able to root for them.

my heart says STL, my heads say ATL.  I think we match up better against Atlanta.  I don't want to play St. Louis in the playoffs.

WTF was Simmons doing there?

that's the kind of play that gets you cut in the NFL.

We match up much better against the Braves then the Cardinals.  The Cardinals are the only team in the NL that can match us offensively.

Lynn relieves Lohse after 5 2/3, gets Ross out...4-2 Cardinals through 6 complete.

Good thing about a St. Louis win is they would have to travel about the same distance as the Nats to play Sunday.

Medlen out, relieved by Durbin.

Medlen's line:  6.1 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO 1 HR, 92 pitches (59 strikes), ERA 4.26
