It wasnt immediately apparent.  The infielder wasnt even under it which is why he gave way to the outfielder!

I can see it from the umps perspective. He's watching the fielders and not the runners and assumes it was a calculated drop to attempt to double up sleeping runners perhaps. It was a bad call, but I can see why he made it. I'd still be pissed if I cared about Larry and the Barves.

I dislike the Braves but I always felt an infielder had to be underneath the ball; not approaching it.

Another bad call.  It looked like.  Rhe fielder jumped up. Came down on the base and then fell.  Oh well!

No, he isn't.

"An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out."

Says nothing about being under it.

So which game does TBS air if this goes extras?  Finish this game and then go to the "in progress" AL game?

They stick with this and air the other on TNT until this one is over.

Yes I am  ...  mindfact.   An "ordinary effort" is not running away from it.
