I just opened a "Beck's Oktoberfest", took a sip, and immediately poured it out. Tastes like ass. Brewed in St Louis as it turns out. Guess I'll have a Strongbow instead....
All Beck's sold in the USA is now brewed in St Louis, ever since the InBev/Anheuser-Busch merger.
Pity about the Oktoberfest though - regular Beck's (still available at H-T for $4.99 for a four-pack of cans - a nice alternative to the conventional bottle 6-pack), even if no longer fully authentic, still tastes reasonably good.
[Strongbow does make a good alternative though.]
