freak this. good job Villone and Bergmann

like I said, the entire bullpen save for 1 or 2 guys at the most should be cleaned out in the off-season.

That may be, but if the Nats and Royals were matched up in a series right now, I'd take the Nats.  I think by the end of the year though, the Royals will have fallen below us.
have you seen our schedule for the rest of the year? we face a lot of good teams which we are incapable of beating.

hell we faced a terrible team in the Brewers that were struggling and couldn't touch them even in our own park.

likely to get our asses handed to us this week in Chi-town and St. Louis.

The Nationals would lose a series to the Royals just because they are the Nationals. our pitching is a complete joke.

Still no outs, bases loaded, over/under 8 runs scored this inning?

NO OUTS!!!

...and they're still scoring!  This is the worst inning of the year, definitely!

Yes, I've seen our schedule.  I know we're not very good.  I'm not even trying to make that claim, I'm just saying that right now, at this point in the season, the Royals are worse.  I see a lot of both teams.  The Nats actually can score runs. Neither team has a pitching staff, much less a bullpen.

Who?  The entire lineup minus Zimm and Dunn and the entire pitching staff minus Lannan, Clippard, and Klej?

Admittedly, I haven't seen the Royals play much this year but how often has a game so completely unraveled on them, so suddenly?

I can't imagine it happens as often as it does with this team.  The sad part is that this inning isn't that unusual for this team.

fair enough. I haven't watched the Royals much this year so you know them better than me. I know Greinke has cooled off.

The Nats can score runs some days but other days they are just as hapless as some of the worst offensive teams in baseball (see: Padres).

The Nats have no rotation and no bullpen. By far the worst in baseball.

We will see who is the worst team when the Nats go 10-27 over their last 37 games of this dreadful season. :(

Not even close. This doesn't compare with those "devastating" losses at the beginning of the year when our bullpen was blowing game after game.

they gave up 8 runs in the 7th yesterday.  They were down 6-2 in the 3rd on Saturday in the game I was at, they fought back, but much like our game on Saturday, it was too big a hole.  Really, the two teams are pretty similar.  Very, poorly constructed ML rosters with little talent waiting in the wings.  The stars they've been expecting to be stars havnen't panned out as they might have hoped. They're 3-7 in their last 10 have only 10 wins since the break and only once have they won consecutive games in that span.

How did we get out of that yielding only 6 runs?

This one's more excruciating because we could have had so many opportunities and, in light of those earlier games, we knew it was going to come back and haunt us.

Earlier in the season, we didn't necessarily know that what was coming.  Now, we know what's coming.

So Villone lets every runner score except for his own.

It's hard to tell which team this refers to.
