I need a spring training rundown...
« Topic Start: March 31, 2014, 12:53:02 PM »
Give me your overall impressions of the team/individual players in ST.

I could only follow the games through my MLB At Bat app, since I live in WV, and they don't show Nats games here. I got to see the end of one on ESPN after work but that's about it.

so...give me a basic overview, that you can't get just looking at box scores...

some time this year I'm going to buy the MLB.tv package, but i cannot afford to do so right this very moment.

Saw 5 games and couple practices.
Impressed by Matt Williams, who had things organized and did everything from pitching BP to hitting infield ground balls.
Harper's swing isn't good, but others' are and the ones I saw really hitting the ball were Span, LaRoche, Goodwin, and other guys who are in Syracuse like Souza, Walters and Peterson.
Among pitchers, Blevins looked good, Matt Purke horrible.
Zimmerman was throwing awkwardly as ever, but generally getting the ball to first.
Went away with the two overall impressions that Harper may struggle at bat and we have position depth in Syracuse.

One set of eyes can't see much, but that was what these ones saw. For what it's worth.
