Now that Hudson knows the lowly Nats are targeting him he isn't going to come to DC. It's like a hunter walking into the woods and the deer hearing the leaves under the hunter's foot. What does the deer do? Run away. :?

yeah, cause Hudson is the difference between our Bullpen being historically bad, and being World Series Caliber. :?

the 09 team has much bigger problems than you hating whatshisface Gonzalez.

anyway, whatever. lemme stop before the LAC cronies start telling me how much I love the Lerners because I don't think Hudson is the major difference maker that you do. :?

j-mad with one of his long rants again before he actually even stops and reads what a poster says.  i never said we'd win the world series if we signed hudson.  keep telling yourself that.

all i'm saying is he would help.  we have a major hole at second base ... as hernandez/gonzalez/belliard/harris haven't stepped up.  o-dog would've helped out, that's all.

Villone is out.  Tape measured homerun coming.

He definitely would've made a difference more than I would've guessed. But our pitching buried us early.

Not quite but it still plated a run.

I don't know. all that matters now is that Rizzo is keeping him on the roster. should have been cut weeks ago. he was good for like a month and that's it.

I'd rather see Spradlin or Novoa.

This is against Josh Johnson, not some guy we should blow up, that we aren't. You can't fault them for not being able to do something that 29 other teams will have a difficult time doing against him.

I can't even wrap my head around how much the Marlins own us.

Can you guys believe this? This is baseball. To go 0-10 (2009) and 3-26 (last 29 games) against 1 team is just incredible.

Hell, they need to rename Nats Park when the Marlins come into town since they are 11-1 when playing there.

Good thing Guzman and Willingham got hits early or this would be a perfect game.  :bang:

i agree they own the nats, but this is josh johnson we're talking about.  he pwns everyone.  and j.d. martin wasn't good.

thanks to joel hanrahan we had a win over josh johnson earlier this year, but joel blew it.

sure. but we didn't sign him. get over it already. maybe we'll sign him next year. maybe not. this team has so many problems, but the only one you seemingly care about is 2nd Base.

we knocked him out after 3.1 IP on July 1st. On April 18th we scored 6 runs off of him in 6 IP.

Great pitcher but that still doesn't mean our effort wasn't piss freaking poor.

it's a glaring need.  and everytime i'm reminded of how badly this team needs a 2nd baseman i'm going to make note of it.  if you don't like it, then don't respond.

i'd like to get a veteran catcher that is worth a damn as the current back-ups aren't getting the job done and flores can never stay healthy.  would love to see us get some bullpen arms.  and if dukes can't take ownership of an outfield spot the rest of the year, for us to go out and get a bonafide outfielder.

That's the one part of fantasy that I hate.
I hate when I have a player or pitcher going against the Nats. Especially when it comes down to the last day and it's super close

and every time you spend an entire game thread whining about the 2nd baseman, I'm going to tell you to stop whining. don't like it, then don't whine.

So those Double-A Pirates that gave the Nats such a hard time? Currently getting no hit by the Diamondbacks in the 8th.
