I'm going to go back to slamming Rick Eckstein, because our approach at the plate flat out sucks.  These guys have no discipline, and I feel at least part of the blame belongs to the HITTING COACH.

Nah, I'm just going to blame Flores.  Seems like everyone else (well Harper is definitely slumping but he isn't getting anything to hit and when he does, he is super lost) can manage to make contact.

Here is to hoping that H-Rod plunks Hanley.

You would have to burn a pinch hitter AND your backup catcher.  You can't deplete your bench that early in any game...

So, you risk losing the game later as opposed to losing it then.  That was it.  That was the team's last best chance to win this game.  The game was lost at that point.

The series of event leading up to that point is what actually would have made me do that.  The "it's baseball" thing was going to lose this game tonight.  Sometimes, at some points in the season, you have to fight the "it's baseball" by being unconventional.

Another thing that would have increased my level of urgency was that your #5 pitcher is starting tomorrow.  It's very difficult to win games started by your #5 pitcher.

All losses aren't created equally and this one feels worse than a lot of the others.

haha  H-Rod.  I don't believe it.
He should have pitched the 7th, him or Stammen. Davey cost us a run.

"It's baseball" has won us a lot of games this year too.  This game is no different than any of the others.  The 7 games remaining this week are much more urgent than this one.

So, who else gets freaking perplexed when H-Rod pitches well?  He shows more potential than Gas-Can Hanrahan yet other times he is just so painful to actually watch.  Maybe we should get a special pitching coach who speaks spanish and isn't pitch to contact like McCatty to help him.

There is no good H-Rod.  I'm convinced that the days he pitches within the strike zone, it's entirely accidental.

freaking idiotic. He uses him with the bases empty down by 2 runs in the 9th but wouldn't use him when it counted.

Davey has also done a good job of turning Moore cold. He's lost his groove.

Maybe not having Desmond in the line-up is doing us in.
