I sort of like that we're going with WR though. I was wishing with the extra 5th rounders we'd get an OLine or two...  I'm tired of seeing Heyer play.

Yeah they seem to be neglecting the line again.

I mean doesn't it make sense to get an oline in the 5th round with one or two of them? Any backup is better than Heyer. Maybe they'll do that with these plethora of 7th rounders.

I'd like to see the season come so I can see if any of these guys will be [Armstrong] contributors.

btw, lets sign Josh Wilson... That'd be an awesome secondary! 8)

Sometimes you're as bad your brother or PA.

 :o

Hes quick and got hands. I'd take any player like that over Rogers. I think I may die because of Rogers. I don't know how many times my heart skips a beat when he has a hold on the ball and then drops it.

Is PA plotzing over the Redskins drafting Evan Royster?

He has been AZ-esque over Royster (or anyone from PSU for that matter). I feel strongly that Jordan Todman from Connecticut (drafted by San Diego) was the superior value over Royster at that pick.

Brandyn Thompson, DB out of Boise St with the first 7th round pick. Maurice Hurt, OL (6'3"; 318 lbs) out of Florida with the second 7th rounder. Markus White, DE out of FSU with the third 7th rounder. Final selection, Chris Neild, NT (6'2" 320) out of West Virginia.

Helu - Character is the last think you'll ever have to be worried about with him.  Class act all the way around.  Really, he's a solid back.  Early in his career at NU he was really tough to tackle.  Always plays to the whistle.  He seemed to find an extra gear this year.  Not the most explosive back but he should be a solid steady contributor who does nothing flashy, but when you look up, you'll see he has 115 yds and 2 tds.  Good in pass pro but has been prone to the occasional bouts with fumbleitis.

Paul - Game changing ability.  Prone to lapses in concentration.  Hard worker, has the bloodlines (cousin of Ahman Green).

Gomes - Love this kid.  Doesn't necessarily have the measureables, but he's a ball hawk.  He was always in the middle of the action and made plays, and big game changing ones at that.  Not afraid to stick his nose in and hit someone.  Should be good in run support.  He played a hybrid lb/safety position at NU.

Jim Brown averaged 104 yards and 1.7 TD's per game.

That's what he seemed to put up every game in college.  He should be productive.  Health might be a bit of a concern as well.  He got banged up a bit while he was at NU.

I saw every game that Royster played. This guy will be solid.

Wasn't Hurt a second round quality guy who fell because he tested positive for marijuana at the combine? Or was I badly misinformed by my friend?

Niles Paul kinda dropped a lot of passes in college.  Seemed like it to me, anyway.

Paul wasn't a bad selection. He has decent speed for a possession type receiver and is a very good return man so he can also contribute on special teams. Helu was a very good pick and really, do we want to question Shanny on RB picks? Hurt is a pretty solid guard selection that was overlooked at times due to the other Florida linemen. Neild though could be be the guy we'll be most happy with. I wouldn't doubt if he's a starter by the end of the year and Kerrigan I see as a 8-10 sack guy but more than that, will contribute to Orakpo being a 15 or so sacker.
And the receiver from SMU has top end speed, soft hands and runs solid routes, he's just small. There's a lot to like about him.
I'd give our draft a solid B. If nothing else, we added a lot of youth and talent to a team that was lacking in both areas.

Player sponsored workouts, Redskins doing 7-on-7 drills

I haven't seen a John Beck throw over 30 yards that hasn't been a duck. Rex seems so much crisper on nearly every throw. #redskins

Shocker, and Beck is going to be our starting QB :bang:

Says who? A lot can change from now until the season begins, if there is one.

Santana Moss will re-sign for 3 years.

I doubt they get more than a 5th rounder.

We're getting 2 6th round picks from Minnesota

- Santana 15mil/3yr contract.
- McNabb will be traded to the Vikings (at least its agreed on)
Quote
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Vikings have agreed to send a 2012 sixth-round pick to the Redskins if Donovan McNabb agrees to restructure his contract.
The Vikings will also include a conditional 2013 sixth-rounder. Minnesota was also looking at Tyler Thigpen and Bruce Gradkowski, which tells you all you need to know about Donovan McNabb's value right now. The decision to abandon those two QBs also suggests a confidence that McNabb will agree to a significant paycut in exchange for a shot at leading what could be an explosive offense.
- Skins sign DT Barry Colfield for 6 years.

Stallworth had 2 receptions last year in 8 games with Baltimore and 17 receptions 3 years ago with Cleveland. :?
