Yes they did.  3-2 W over MC is almost unheard of.  First game in the EPL since the 60's I think they said.

It was the old First Division (the Premier League was not officially formed till 1992) - last time the Bluebirds were that high was in the 60's or 70's.

What will be intresting is when Cardiff and Swansea meet in the Premiership for the firstg time ever...will the Soul Crew re-form?

I must put some meetings in Outlook for the afternoons of 17-18 September.

I've already got my Outlook set up for the dates tickets to the matches vs Southampton (1st December) and Crystal Palace (14th) go on sale (about 40 days prior to scheduled date in each case) - and early next week I'll find out when tickets to the Champions League home match vs Steaua Bucuresti (11th) go on sale, and mark that down accordingly.

Three weeks in London...three matches at the Bridge...doesn't get much better than that.

That it is (although there are steps one can take to keep the costs down, such as eating in pubs like I usually do), but it's something I've done for nearly 20 years now - a rather large birthday present to myself (so nice of the Premier League to move the Chelsea-Southampton match from 30th November to the actual day this season!).

Di Canio is a serious headcase...not much of a surprise that he's a lifelong fascist and Mussolini admirer.

van persie  has been largely invisible  for the past two games. chicharito did  more in 17  minutes today than rvp  has in two games.

Liverpool is much easier to root for when Suarez isn't playing

Even though the games were yesterday and I already know the results, I'm totally enjoying watching LFC take it to Man U (and I'm really looking forward to Arsenal/Spurs right after this).

We were in a little fish restaurant in West Flores, Indonesia last year, where the owner's kid had on a Chicharito jersey...it was hilarious watching him do the Chichi face and dramatic posed kicks as he booted a ball all around the place.  This place was like a freaking thousand miles from nowhere but even the smallest towns on the island had a tea house with a dish to catch the EPL games.

It's offish: Ozil from Real Madrid to Arsenal (£42.4 mil transfer fee - but a "long-term" deal).  I guess RM needed some cash on the double to pay for that Bale signing!

yeah,  nothing in soccer is long tem.  it seems like you can be a free agent whenever you want. " I want a transfer to...." .  then sign a new contract

Ozil is an amazing signing for Arsenal. Still can't believe they got him. He's probably the best attacking midfielder in the world.

USA/Mexico WCQ at 8:00.  Probably just about the only place (Columbus) in the country where they could avoid having it be a home game for El Tri.

Didn't the new guy coach the gold medal team in London last year?
