This blows big time. They played scared after the cards scored their first run. Why stay with Gio in the 5th when the moment got too big for him? Why pitch Jackson on one day of rest even after the Cards owned him? The bats had that early jump but they never could jump on the Cards bullpen. This isn't the worst, just ask the sox losing to the Mets, or the cubs in the Bartman game, but I damn sure don't want to be in that kind of historic company...
