_______________________________________ _________

Bedard has pitched seven innings in each of his past two starts, but he's earned a no-decision in both of them and has gone five straight starts without a win. The southpaw has received three straight no-decisions, but he appears to have gotten his season back on track. Bedard has allowed four earned runs or more four times this season -- but none of those have come in his past three starts.

With Jerome Williams out of action, Washington will insert reliever Bowie, a reliever, into the starting rotation. Bowie last pitched on Tuesday and threw 47 pitches in two innings against the Braves. The team plans to stretch him out to about 70 pitches on Sunday against the Orioles. Manager Manny Acta said Bowie is not as resilient when it comes to pitching on back-to-back days as a reliever. Bowie was informed of his new role on Wednesday. He hasn't started a game since 1999, when he was with the Cubs. Elbow reconstruction surgery and a shoulder adductor strain forced him into the bullpen.

Jesus catching, Belly at first, Nook in Center, guaranteed Curly W for us. This is the best order 1-9 Manny has assembled all year.

It should be our everyday lineup.

I also like this lineup.  Belliard should start everday at 1B and Flores should start at least 2-3 times a week.

Speaking of LOST, Lopez looks LOST at the plate.  As does Guzman.

Zimmerman proves he's the best hitter on this team. Guzman and Felipe completely fooled, while R.Z. steps up and hits a double.

Kenz aFan is 1-0 in Game Thread wins-losses in 2007.
Zim DOUBLES as his fans smile.  Ryan #2 way overdue to homer.

Ya, I'm not ready to give up on Church yet though. The bases clearing double he had vs the Braves is about the only thing keeping me from getting on his case.
