i'd rather see him strikeout trying for a bunt rather than going for a hit.

And he continues to pound the ball right into the shift.

He is a power hitter, he is supposed to be driving the ball into the gaps and over the fence. :?

You and Rizzo weren't a fan of the last guy that did that.

Another weak ground ball.

No hits in 5 innings against this very mediocre pitcher. Feels just like last night.

It's one thing to get owned by Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee and another to get owned by the crappy Mets' back end starters.

But he also did a lot of other things bad. We shouldn't have to settle for either Dunn nor LaRoche. We need better.

But in the meantime we are stuck with LaRoche and his great defense and non-existent bat.

I don't have access to a TV, does Gee really have no-hit stuff today?
I'm going with past statistics, which say that the Mets have never thrown a no-no in their history.

50 years of history can't be broken today, can it?

no, not at all.  and he's falling behind some hitters and we wail at a crappy 2-0 pitch.

He's throwing straight 88 mph fastballs, some changeups, and an occasional curve ball.

He's just pitching to contact and we are hitting weak groundouts.

He looks like a typical #5/AAAA starter.

Okay, folks, here's how this is gonna work.

Right now, I have one package of pasta, six links of "Classy Sausage" from a farm in a village called Romford, a green bell pepper, a few organic mushrooms, a white onion, and a jar of Ragu.

When I come back in 2-3 innings, I will have one giant plate of spaghetti.

If we're not winning by then, Ed Stroud and I will have no choice but to post more pictures of hot chicks in Mets gear.

Back

(Yeah yeah it's 'shopped)

Of course Livo allows only one run and K's 6 and we can't even get a hit to support him.

We've got 12 outs to get a hit.

Make it happen.
