Spin, I'd like to see Bixler up and Desmond down if he doesn't a hit today.
I doubt Desmond gets a hit today seeing as how he ISN'T IN THE LINEUP!!!

You always expect a southern drawl or California cool when you hear players talk, but not New York.

... or ESL.

:lmao: Ok tomorrow then.

The Marlins outfield defense is going to be atrocious with Infante in CF and Bonifacio in right. We need bloops!

Absolutely, my childhood hero ... Clemente' ... proved that :)   In all honesty, the whole 1960 Buc's team were my heroes.

How many games do you wait? 5? 10? 15?

I don't get it all the time either but ole Riggs is known as the duke of the double switch.  :)

I know they were a little too patient in the past with veterans and Desmond is not a veteran and shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt yet but I would give him another week to show something. Also, moving him down in the lineup seems a better solution. I believe you suggested demoting to the minors. Besides, do we really want to put up with hammonds' whining about his favorite player (KID :?)being demoted?

I'd give him a month at least.  They trotted Nyjer out there for basically 162 games of fail.

But because they did it for Morgan doesn't mean it was the right thing to do and that you repeat the mistake. I think  at least one month is far too long to wait if he keeps sucking.

he's not my favorite player by any means.  if i were to have "a favorite player" it'd be ryan zimmerman and not even close.  i like the nationals as a whole and CMD can vouch for me.  i just think desmond is going to be a good one, just like espinosa.

What would make him "successful" in your eyes?

I could see Espinosa at short and Lombardozzi at 2nd someday for the Nats. Desmond will end up in Detroit hitting around .280/20 Hr's/ 80 rbi's and have a great career at SS for the Tigers/Indians.
