Elizardo Ramirez (0-0, -.--)
Ramirez has been called up from Triple-A Louisville to replace Eric Milton, who is scheduled to have arthroscopic left knee surgery. Ramirez is 0-1 with a 3.94 ERA in three starts at Louisville, but has not issued a walk while striking out 15 in his 16 innings.

Livan Hernandez (1-2, 7.11)
Hernandez will face the Reds for the 11th time in his career. He is 2-5 with a 4.96 ERA against them. In his last outing, Hernandez pitched 7 1/3 innings and gave up six runs on eight hits against the Phillies. He was cruising in the first seven innings before allowing a two-run homer to Bobby Abreu in the eighth. It was the third home run Hernandez had given up in the game and ninth home run overall this season.

with the way most of our team is hitting, I expect a good clean whipping of this AAA guy. If not, then I call this season quits

Any chance of sending Livo to the Minors, let him get his game back together. Nothing in Spring Training would've predicted this.

And you called THEIR pitcher the "AAA guy" The way Livan has been pitching this year, I'm not sure who the weaker pitcher is. It would be nice if the Nats had a "AAA guy" pitching for them, instead of Livan Tub-O-Lard...

When your ERA is 7.17 at the beginning of a game and it goes UP after the first inning, that's not good.

The way Hernandez is pitching, we're going to need 8 or 9 runs if we want to have a chance to win this game.

The sad part is, even if his ERA was at 20.00 to start the game, it would have gone up after the 1st inning...

what happened was..I quickly checked the score 2-0, with 2 outs..I turned off the TV and literally 10 seconds later, I check again and its commericals so I assumed that it was only 2 runs..way to give up a run in the span of 10 seconds.

well at this current rate, he is averaging 2 runs per inning so, he should only give up 10 runs in his abbreviated 5 innings of work
