So thus far I've got:

  • R-Zimm #11
  • spidernat
  • lintyfresh85
I'll take it. that is a bad bet for you Chief. Redding has given up 6 or more runs in his last two starts.

It'd be nice if Willingham was back. He's 5/13 with 2 HRs off of Redding.

Not to mention, how many times does Redding actually go six innings even when pitching well?

Though, Manny's not his manager anymore......

You're in by default since you lost to me last week ;)

If I lose (which I won't since I stole sportsfan's crystal ball) then I think we'll just have a consensus thread and you guys can spitball ideas for my new avatar and come to an agreement that way.

I'm not basing this bet on anything statistical, just a gut familiarity with this team's "luck."  I'm fully aware that the odds are not in my favor.

You've said that at least 3 or 4 times this season and they always lose anyway.  Vegas must be on crack.

And why do your posts always have 3 lines of blank space at the bottom when I quote them?

yeah, the Nationals are 3-7 when they are the favorite this year. :?

Some more trends for tonight's game:
-Mets are 7-0 in their last 7 Friday games.
-Mets are 7-1 in their last 8 games against the Nationals.
-Mets are 0-4 in their last 4 road games.
-Mets are 25-7 in their last 32 meetings in Washington.

-Nationals are 13-52 in their last 65 games vs. team with a winning record.
-Nationals are 12-30 in their last 42 Friday games.
-Nationals are 5-1 in Martis' last 6 home starts.

I don't know why there are 3 extra lines.

I'll take it as well.

And SF, that's probably because of the Marlins-Randy St. Claire effect.

freakin Kearns and Bard ruin everything

I understand hernandez is fast, but with a pitcher in the lineup, why hit Bard ahead of Hernandez?  Or Kearns for that matter?

How did you know Kearns/Bard/Guzman were going to be in the lineup? :?

It shouldn't matter but having those 3 in there hurt our chances.

I have to fulfill my promise (even though it appears as though nobody else cares if I do).  I have principles.  And you're Kane.

btw i like your wrestling idea chief.

it'd be funny if redding went 5.2 innings and gave up 0 runs, so chief lost.

Kinda like how the Undertaker always worked with Kane inthe Battle Royals until a key moment when he submarined his own brother?

    Classic.

I am so disappointed to see Josh Bard. I hate that guy. Kearns sucks too. Get me Willie Harris, and God I wish were could call up some youth, I am ready for a change....

we already did pitching-wise although they left out Clippard.

we have no young guys who are ready offensively.

Harris and Nieves should be playing tonight though. And probably Gonzalez too.
