The racing presidents are so annoying. Itll be cool to have teddy win finally so the whole thing can die off. Teddy could wrestle bears and he invented the wheel.

Even if Teddy went rogue and won, they'd just DQ him anyways. Can't kill the real reason fans come to the game, or so the Nats PR folks seem to think.

:lmao: if they let Teddy win and he was disqualified, wow. I hope no PR people are reading this.

Teddy can win on the first home game after the Nationals win the World Series. Or better yet: he has a lead for the whole race, but trips because George left his World Series ring on the ground near the finishing line.

Seriously. The truth is that the real Theodore Roosevelt could outrace all four of those mascots, box all four of them to the ground, and then murder them with judo moves. While President, he used to regularly trash the Oval Office by having macho friends bring giant sticks over to beat each other up with giant sticks and accidentally wreck the furniture.

He also thought baseball was for wimps...or rather, a mollycoddle game...but then MLB gave him a lifetime pass and all was forgiven...this is the revenge of MLB.

Why I'm laughing hysterically and thinking of Clouseau (sp?) and Kado.

The 3 things my 10 year old was most excited to see in person:
1. Bryce Harper
2. Presidents Race
3. to hear the horn after a HR & win.

That's pretty much exactly what Roosevelt and Leonard Wood used to do!

Teddy Roosevelt once got shot in the middle of a speech and continued speaking for 45 minutes afterwards before excusing himself by saying, "I do not know if you fully realize that I have just been shot..."  The man was a total badass.  In real life he would WIN every race.  Just saying...

Sorry, I'm more with Washington.  In his day, horses were not just for short trips.  He road ahead of the forces when he moved the Army down from NY/NJ to Yorktown.

Washington and Lincoln were unusually tall for their time, and fine physical specimens by all accounts. Lincoln also grew up on the frontier.

Lincoln served for a time in the Blackhawk War as well.

Jefferson, on the other hand, was more of a sheltered aristocrat. He was also unusually tall for his age, but I would probably rank him last for physical prowess. He never served in the military either.

I'd probably make Jefferson the perpetual loser, but then again I am a staunch Federalist and would have voted to  make Alexander Hamilton the king.

No, he won't. He will never win. It blows my mind how many people don't understand marketing.

Yup. The casual fan gets a small kick out of it. The kids more often than not love it.

If he finally wins, he should not lose another race until 2017

Scratch the race, and just let them have a tag team beatdown of Cánovas del Castillo, George III, Jefferson Davis, and Alexander Hamilton.  And then get rid of it.

They should bring in Bill, have him lead every race, and then stop to chat up a young woman before the finish line...

I'm quite surprised that they haven't brought in a few rotating Presidents now and then.... if they do end the Teddy loses gag, a new President now and then would/could keep things fresh.
