It's also important to note that it's 75 degrees and high humidity.  Much easier to stay stretched out in weather like that.

I'm freely admit bad defense can hurt you as a team... but I feel his bat more than makes up for any gaffs he has in the field.

Have to make better pitches than that. 1-2 and he threw him a changeup right down the middle.

I agree that on a personal level, he more thanmakes up for it, but the affect it has on young pitchers is immeasurable.  Which was my point. 

Obviously a veteral like Lowe can handle that sort of thing, but we don't have veterans in our rotation.
