Slugging percentage is nominal.  Gonzalez also has better range, plays more positions efficiently and works the count.

Defensively?  I don't think Guzman has much to offer. 

Gonzalez and Hernandez up the middle is a great DP combo and both have unreal range.  Guzman is as slow as freak.

Guzman hits for better average but the goal of a leadoff hitter is to get on base and make things happen.  He will get more AB's than anyone else so OBP is the best measure.  Right now and trending forward, Gonzalez is the better man for the job.  Guzman 's 31, doesn't have nearly the speed he once had and is declining.

I'm not saying that Gonzalez is great shakes, but right now, he's playing better than Guzman.
