Yup.  After 0-2 it was all downhill.

Anyone think Clippard will be our closer next season?

Not if we keep needing him for 3-4 innings

Yeah, I'm not sure yet. He is a solid reliever, though.

Zimmerman had plenty of time to go home, but opted for the double play.  Right move?

Long man who can pitch with a lead - that is nice

I would always go home because you never know when this offense is going to zone out.  Sometimes it's not better to exchange a run for a second out.

yep. preserving the lead is most important. his momentum was taking him towards 2B too.

if we were only up 1 it would have been the right move to throw home.

damnit. walking Rivera sucks. he wasn't going to get a hit there. Clip just needed to keep throwing strikes.

I like hearing what Debbie said about Riggleman posting pitching assignments for the game ahead of time.  People like clarity about their role, it helps focus preparation activities.

walking Mike Rivera with 2 outs and no one on base is inexcusable.

throwing a 3-2 change-up to McGeHee is even more inexcusable.

what was the thinking there?
