We'll be in section 117 Thursday.  Meet me at Red Porch (Laura & Karen know me well) just before 7pm and I'll buy a beer or two

If I get there early I'll look you up

Capital Weather Gang's NatCast today: 'We can only hope our pitchers are throwing this kind of heat. Chances of a rain delay are slim and don't cheer for it to cool things off because it is more likely to just raise the humidity more...' - mid-90's at first pitch, mid-80's by ninth inning, 20% chance of rain.

For those going to Baltiless tonight: Weather Channel (weather.com) predicting temperatures of 88 as of 19.00 (first pitch) and 82 three hours afterward, with 50% chance of precip ('scattered thunderstorms') throughout.

Will be in TBSITH for all fixtures except Friday (Mystics conflict - ticket sold to seat-mate).

Not great, but high 80s is better than high 90s.

July is going to be my big month at the ballpark so I just checked the projected pitchers, assuming that Stras pitches the first game following the break I get three Zimnn games and three Detwiler games.  I like those guys but I'm hoping that if Stras and Gio pitch a couple innings in the ASG that they will have JZ on the mound for the first game back.

Who would believe that the Nats have had for of our starters make every projected start for half a season?  In all of the previous years it was impossible to predict with great confidence who would be on the mound more than one series in the future.

For anyone going down for some southern-fried fun this weekend, the forecast is for triple digit temps (heat indices 110+), high humidity, and code red (unhealthy) air quality.  Soooo-eeeeee!

In a strange way, Code Red is probably a good omen for the Nats.

Will be there for all except the Sunday game - baking in the afternoon sun is against my religion.

Thursday should be fun, I hear they're wearing 1924 Senators uniforms...

Ugghhh! not only did I miss the Rays series due to work (and the Yanks due to the lack of available affordable tickets), but I figured I'd be out of town next week on vacation and did not line up tickets for either series, both of which are interesting teams (I like the Rocks the most out of the western teams and even like Coors to visit).  Work is keeping me around though, in this f'ng heat.  I still hope I'll be away for the Rockies games.

Full update from weather.com and ESPN.com:

Tuesday 3rd July at 18.35 vs Giants (Zimmermann vs Lincecum) - high 96, 20% chance of rain
Wednesday 4th July at 11.05 vs Giants (Jackson vs Bumgarner) - high 95, 40% chance of rain
Thursday 5th July at 19.05 vs Giants (Detwiler vs Cain - the 1924 throwback kit night) - high 95, 30% chance of rain
Friday 6th July at 19.05 vs Rockies (Strasburg vs Outman) - high 97, 20% chance of rain
Saturday 7th July at 16.05 vs Rockies (Gonzalez vs Francis) - high 99, 10% chance of rain
Sunday 8th July at 13.35 vs Rockies (Zimmermann vs Friedrich) - high 93, 20% chance of rain

If recent matches this past weekend (DC United on Saturday, Mystics on Sunday) are any indication, we may get a few people in the stands who are simply fleeing powerless home situations (United had a season-high 18k in the stands Saturday), trying to get away (I almost bought a single to the United match until my power came back at the last minute).

I'm not sure I want to go on the fourth or not. 11am start is such an insanely rare thing for MLB. Might never happen again in DC, and the only other time in Boston before the Marathon. Its just a crazy rare thing and neat to say I went to a morning baseball game. Same time, its gonna be 95 and at 1-2 as hot as crap with the sun screaming down. Add to that traffic being a clusterfreak and i am quite divided.

That would be a good game to use your club pass for a few innings.  Also, there will be traffic, but I don't expect it to be as bad as leaving a weekday game during rush hour, you'll be heading into the city earlier than most and leaving when the big crowds are coming in.

Actually, that's a genius idea I would have totally forgotten about. Usually have both S&S passes come September. Thanks because I had totally forgotten about them. If I end up going, ill definitely do that. Unfortunately its the added issue of being my mother's birthday, so ill prolly be up in the air until Wednesday at 10am, but thanks again.

Anyone rushing to the park early on Friday to get a curly W luggage tag?  This might just rank as the lamest promo giveaway yet.

Right, very lame, although I do want the truck to give to my kids, but the trailer with the logo may get dumped in the first trash can.

As a kids toy its ok.  I mean most kids dont care if its WB MASON truck.  They just like playing with it.  I just wish if they had to do a truck, it would be the NAT MOBILE!  You know!  The truck that dumped the Philly phans back to CB PARK!  :)

I'll be at tomorrow's game with the whole family (even though a rather large tree fell on our house on Fri. - but hopefully it will be removed from my roof, etc. tomorrow well before game time).

I'll be there tomorrow with my younger sister. Will be in 419, row H at the end of the row so I don't have to make people get up every time I want to move, which will be nice. Going to try to get there 1.5 hours early to watch batting practice and just walk around the team stores.
