Desmond will not have respectable season long stats. It's just going to be a judgment how real his second half is.  We've seen his streaks before.  His ability to get on base is entirely dependent on his ability to make contact and have that fall in.

Dumb 0-2 fastball. A changeup would have made him look silly

NOW THAT i can agree with.

GameDay tells me Clippard just threw a cutter. What?

He's been throwing it a bit lately.

Desmond since 7/1 (not including today):  .269 / .318 / .397 5HR, 3SB

I would have thought SBs would be higher.

Who is pitching for the Nats tomorrow night? And is there a url someone can link me to that shows projected pitching matchups for the week, or whatever?

So we're looking at Saturday night for Strasburg?  That's going to be my older son's second ever ball game.

Not etched in stone. I heard on the radio that they are considering having him pitch tomorrow night on 5 days rest.

He should drop the curve on him like he did with Wright last night.

You have to scroll down a bit, though. Looks like Lannan v. Vazquez tomorrow.

FP, thats not late action. That ball was heading for the dirt the moment it left Clip's hand. Clip got a break from the hitter
