Gibbons hit sacrifice fly to center, Huff scored.

Nationals 1
Orioless 1

Simmontacchi now has his 2nd quality start.  I didn't expect this.  Saving the bullpen, with Bacsik and Speigner starting against Toronto.  Guthrie is hard to hit.

well if Lopez's ball stays in the park we'd be up 2-1
and if Zimm's liner would have been a couple of inches up, we'd be up 3-1

We'll know what Manny is thinking by who he brings out to pitch.

I know people are feeling sorry for him because his mother is ailing but it's not fair that he isn't pulling his weight. I'm all about production and we're not getting enough from Fick at this time.

And if I had a few numbers a little different, I would have won a BIG lottery jackpot...

Simontacchi isn't going to make it through this inning, I don't think.

The seventh inning is Jason's wall.

Guzman and Roberts both hitless in this series...  what are the odds of that?

WOW, even though he has had a ton of stressful innings he still has given us 7 strong (only 1 run) so let's give it up for him  Simontacchi has given us a chance to win this game, in spite of himself

If the Orioles lose this game, Perlozzo will be fired immediately, just for taking Guthrie out of the game.

There must be a lot of us at the game tonight, I don't understand how such a tight game could be only 4 pages otherwise after last night's monster thread.

Not anymore.  I hope they ran a clinic on submarine pitchers... Chad Bradford. Guzman did, singles.
Simontacchi has a 1.7 WHIP tonight but I never thought he complete 7 innings.  His best outing.

Zimmerman drives in Guzman!  (Hey Carpenter, tell us WHAT he hit!)

Nationals 2
Orioless 1

A bunch of people said they were going to a Balimores game, but I didn't pay attention to who.  I thought you'd be there, with a Balimore homestead.  NBA final game tonight may have drawn some interest.

Simontacchi is back out.  They should hold a parade for him if he wins with a complete game.

(Image removed from quote.)

I just got off of work, didn't think there was much point in showing up with 2/3+ of the game over.  It probably would've been the ninth by the time I got there and got seated.

Besides, I didn't want to give Angelos any more of my money.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)

I don't know that I liked him coming back out for the 8th.
