I know I shouldn't be shocked because this isn't new but WTF! Zimmermann has completed 5 innings and has only yielded 3 hits an 1 freaking run and people are blaming him for trailing in this game!  :bang:  :hang:

Look, the offense sucks.  That's settled.  But there's a reason why NL pitchers have lower ERAs than AL pitchers.  One of the reasons is they pitch to pitchers instead of DHs.  The pitcher is supposed to be an easy out.  Bronson Arroyo has been anything other than that for Zimmermann.  And that has nothing to do with the offense.

FYI...Arroyo is a better than average pitcher at the plate with five career homers.

Why would anyone criticize Jordan Zimmermann?  The offense needs to produce.

and JZ out on one pitch. Another chance squandered. Ramos stinks so far.

Heart of order up for Reds.

So you're hoping Zimmermann can pitch us to a 0-0 tie?

It's too late.  He should be released and executed with extreme prejudice after the game.

Hey Chief, think we could get a "game" smiley?

Funny idea...  what would such a thing look like?

Sanity

I've met two and they were both attractive.

Well then I stand corrected!

Aww, don't blame the whole forum for the ideosyncrasies of one poster :(

Yeah, he earned a loss by giving up one run.

Is every baseball game the first game you've ever watched?

On the other hand, my old mantra...if the offense doesn't score at least three runs, you can't blame the pitcher.

Even if the score was still 0-0, the offense would have to score or we couldn't win, period.

...but those pitches to Arroyo were bad pitches.

Bob doesn't believe in UZR or the eye test. :stir:

He only judges fielders on highlight plays.

I'd like to see that sure. I guess he needs to be perfect from now until the 27th to break the record. ;) :mg: Granted I am not sure if our offense can come through here. ;)
