The fact that we haven't means we don't think he is ready

So, either our office sucks at determining whether someone is ready or he really isn't

This.  I've seen organizations like ours that did the AA to MLB thing a lot and it USUALLY doesn't work out.  Zimmermann's been ok, but he's more the exception.

He's done a lot better than a lot of the guys I've seen the Royals bring up from AA over the years.

Better than the Nats...they're just the ones I've seen most and they almost ignored AAA altogether to the detriment of their franchise.  I saw a lot of prospects really ruin their careers because they weren't ready and were completely overwhelmed when they showed up in KC. KC's not the only one I've seen do this, they're just the ones I get to see the most of over the years.

My point is, JZ's actually looked ok for the most part.  He's had some bumps, but he at least looks like he belongs on this level, like he's not afraid of the competition.  It will be interesting to see how he responds with McCatty.

I am sure the AAA ignore effected the players but I suspect who they actually were was a bigger factor as to why they didn't succeed in the Majors

Some of the Royals draft picks have been just terrible (while they have hit a few good ones, I admit)

Zinicola has pitched well this year.  I see no problem with him skipping triple A.  This is a guy who didn't take up full time pitching until 05/06.  It took him a while to learn how to pitch and he has made positive adjustments over the past few years.  One thing I noticed, while he can strike out players, he has been pitching to contact and it has worked well for him this year.  With the exception of one outting he has been lights out.  It's time to call him up.

How about we call up Clippard and have Zech to Syracuse to take Clip's spot?

Bill Rhinehart with a Walk-off RBI Single for the Senators tonight.

Zech picks up the win in relief. 1.1 scoreless innings. Lowers his ERA to 1.74.
