notes from tonight's w:

- Zimmerman extends his hitting streak to 18 games.
- Zimmerman is the best defensive player in baseball.
- Zimmerman is the best 3b in baseball.
- Dukes is a beast.
- Tavarez cemented himself as our closer.

notes from tonight's W:

- Air Zimmerman cemented himself as our most annoying poster.
- A big middle finger to hammondsnats, as I get a win as Gameday creator ;D
- hammondsnats cemented his "if I die tonight" post in the WNFF Hall of Fame
- Now, I have some faith in 4 of our 5 starters
- J'aime manger croissants
- Rob Dibble cemented himself as the greatest announcer in Nats history

hammonds or whoever, make the ynot thread for this next batch of games to give people plenty of time to post their answers.

I'll post the thread with stats from last week, then hammonds can post his questions (I think that's the plan).

Hey 2k6, if you want a break from time to time I wouldn't mind counting up the stats.

thank god we don't have to face Wainwright in the Cardinals series. it will still be mighty tough. The Cards are playing damn good baseball.

I dunno, that WNBA post in the Things More Entertaining thread was pretty great.

And if there is a forum hall of fame, hammonds' post should be in it.

And with rare exceptions (to complete a series against the same team, wrap-arounding on a few Mondays), the YNOT weeks followed the fantasy baseball week schedules of Mondays through Sundays.  So the new YNOT would appear Sunday night or sometimes Monday morning.

I see the thread, and the questions, but what is it, just guessing on the outcome or what?  Specifically, is "YNOT" an acronym for anything?

wow, Manny Acta hates Elijah Dukes.

Dukes had the GW RBI Single but in the post-game Acta said that they got good pitching from Olsen and then a big hit from Anderson Hernandez to give us the win. Hernandez had a few big hits but Dukes had the winner.

no mention of Elijah at all from Manny in the press conference.

f Manny. Dukes is going to be in DC longer than Manny.

anyways- Tavarez is the definition of a savvy veteran. he showed Hanrahan how it's done tonight- a nice, clean, and easy 9th.

trust me that's not the full press conference, masn only plays a bit of it.  if you look in the paper tomorrow and such they'll have additional manny quotes, they just take it for a few minutes b/c they have so much jam packed content in the post game Nats Xtra.

dukes had a solid game after getting picked off.  came up with some big hits and covered some good ground there.  good game for lij.

Nice job by Olsen tonight. I haven't given up on him. Even without the 93+ mph fastball, he's got the stuff to get the Ks and Ws.

He's serviceable.  We have four decent starters and then the Crab. :?

Actually, I'm going to amend that statement.  Martis might wind up being truly horrible.

I can't believe how bad his peripherals are.  He walks more batters than he K's, and he gives up more than 1 hit per inning. :spaz:

nah, he's not that bad. He'll improve. just a few shaky starts.
