16,000 in attendance tonight in 40 degree, 30-40+ mph wind weather.  The O's drew 13,000 in much nicer weather last week.

Strange.  You'd think the guys might be "fudging" the numbers, since Tom and Don said there were only "a couple thousand" there.

There are only a couple of thousand there it appears but I guess the 16,000 number is the paying attendance.

I suspect that is "paid" attendance, not actual attendance.

Maybe Chad will give up 2 runs to get a save...

BAD CHIEF! That is two balls that would be homeruns in most parks.

GREAT GAME NATS!  Everyone hates on Chief but he always gets the job done.  Congratulations to Matt Chico on his first career Major League win.

Great game.

My wish is that we could keep winning games, and get back to .500.  The reason being I really want to forget about our atrocious start to the year, and keep playing like this.

LOL sounds like about 3 people at that post-game interview

Even Manny said he probably wouldn't have attended tonight's game in this weather if he were a fan!

She had a similar role with the Boston Red Sox for a number of years, using her maiden name, before doing various sports in Orlando.  Is she pregnant?  They are kind of careful with camera angles, but on a pregame show looked like she might be with child.

It's looking like the Nationals are melding as a team.  One of few games where the top of the lineup actually worked as a unit to put rallies together...

I'm starting Chipper Jones while Sens starts Francoeur (is that a man or a DRINK?)
I'm ahead 2-1 thanks to the Matt Chico walk of Chiperoo.

And I BENCHED Zimmerman's SORRY good-for-nothing-so-far behind!
(Image removed from quote.)
Zim should be batting 7th.  TALK to him, iluvryanzimmerman!

I refuse to bench Zimmerman. I knew one night Zimmerman would break out of this slump, and i wanted him in my starting lineup when he did. 2 for 4 today 2 runs and a RBI. I stay loyal to my favorite player!

Just got back from the game. Luckily, the wind wasn't as bad in the bowl as it was outside the stadium. So it wasn't too bad. Some great positives tonight:
- #42 did well. Kudos to DY for wearing it proudly.
- Saul came up big - a fine return
- Chico was driving me nuts in the first inning, but he buckled down for his first win. Congrats Matt!!
- Church had another good night at the plate, just a different kind. Tonight, facing the lefties, his hitting streak ended, but he still managed a .500 OBP on the night. That's the way to work it.
- Zimmerman did a nice job getting off the Schneid. He has to feel better.
- 6-4-3 is working so well. Can we please at least consider keeping Belliard at 2B?

AND, I can confirm that bottles of authentic "Stadium Mustard" are on the premises! They had insealed bottles at the condiment stand outside my section. It made that hotdog all the better.

There are only a couple of thousand there it appears but I guess the 16,000 number is the paying attendance.

That is correct - paid attendance - official count was 16,316 but I doubt there were half that many there. In fact the Nats have the fourth-lowest per-fixture attendance in MLB (20,690), trailing only Cleveland, Tampa Bay and Florida - along with the Nats' slow start this year, this weather must really be killing walk-up sales.

I was there for the first five innings myself - it was actually pretty comfortable in my section (311) but the winds could be a bit nasty in the concourse and going to/from the Metro station.
