it's funny how half of us want to burn Speigner at the stake...the other half want to shoot the defense.

Probably a little of both is in order ... he should have been out of that inning with no damage ... but letting the pitcher tee for a hit ... we should probably scatter some buck shot around for everyone ... misery

yawn.. I hate when the game is over before it even starts.  We would have been better served just to forfeit this game so we didn't have to burn through our bullpen.

And the ball was smoked - got to him very quickly ... Guz is generally pretty speedy ...

This is why we are the "Lowly" Nationals.. #$%* Levale Speigner [/img]

FARK YOU Bowden and Acta for starting him, when anyone in the world would have done better.

Don't buy season's tickets until they get rid of him! And by the way...

Would Bob and Don stop sucking Speigner's @$%# already??!!   Just tell it like it is!  He is god awful and will never be successful in the big leagues.

If we could trade Kearns back to Cincy for Bray I would do it in a heartbeat.

I can't believe this. I just turn on the game, find we're just 1 inning in, and the $%^&^%%# score is 6-0? WTF? Never mind-Speigner...I should have known. :hang:

Be thankful you missed it ... between the horrendous defense and the batting practice pitching .. it was not pretty

That's exactly why he shouldn't have started this game.  I just do not know what Jimbo and Manny were thinking with their "Levale Speigner Experiment".  Everyone in the world knew we didn't have a chance from the beginning with Speigner on the mound.  It's just like forfeiting a game but worse since you have to burn through your already depleted bullpen.

After the SECOND IDIOTIC fielding play in the 1st inning (which was the 2nd batter?), Acta should have called time, called the entire team to shortstop and asked them whether he should just forfeit the game.  Speigner needed ALL the help he could get, and these worthless jackasses left him hanging.  MLB should investigate to see how many of them placed bets on the Padres tonight.  Any more of this and Acta should immediately replace the fielder before the next play.
