This guy's got nothing.  Go yank him now or it's over.

Is it just me or does Maya look odd on the mound? Like it's some chump off the street that doesn't even fit right in a baseball uniform.

What pitch is that? They can't touch it.

Wow, the Mutts lineup is worse tonight than any we've ever trotted out there.  Absolutely no excuse to lose this game.

I'm curious, what the scouts liked about him?  Did they ever see a performance like this in Cuba?

Would the batter be out of Ramos trips over the batters bat that he threw in fair play?

Bust after the first game? This lineup is worse than any of the lineups Maya faced in AAA.

Well, Ray said Rizzo told him four different Nats scouts have seen him pitch over the years and all said they should sign him.

I'm sure they know what to expect from him.

I agree with Knight.   There's a lot going on.   Give it time.

He never pitched like this in AAA. I saw the games. He always kept the ball down. Nerves, got to be Nerves. If not... Rizzo is Nervous...

+1, he looked tentative and nervous to start the game.  He wasn't even coming close to where Ramos was setting up.  Some of that might be all the movement on his pitches that Ramos probably didn't anticipate, but some of it looked like nerves.

I just got in...an RBI hit by the pitcher in his ML debut? Hopefully it's just nerves, because this was not the outing I was expecting to come home to.
