That was Gilliam. Ballard signed minor league deal as a FA.

Wow, brain fart.  Thanks.

Corey Brown with another HR and a 2-6 night.  He's been hot since last August, he has to be in line for a call-up if we can't get any production out of LF.

Overall nice night for the Chiefs offense.  (3-4 for Moore with a 2B, 1-2, 3BB for Harper).  Zach Duke, on the other hand, left a steaming pile on the mound.

Brown won't be called up for a long time.

He was DFA'd this past offseason, so they'd have to put him back on the 40 man to bring him up.

I don't see Rizzo thinking Brown is worth the hassle of all that, though I hope he does get another shot.

yeah, I hope he proves them wrong.  Maybe Rizzo will think differently because he got Brown as part of the Willingham trade and needs to show that he got more than H-Rod?

Hagerstown had eight steals and the catcher they were facing also had two passed balls.

Gotta love low A ball.

Matt Skole 2/2 with a HR, 2 RBIs tonight. Now batting .346 :whip:

He should be in Potomac. Neither Kelso, Soriano, and Sanchez are 3B material.

Adrian Nieto has been heating up!  Has 2 hits already tonight and 6 hits, 2 HR, and 7 RBIs in his previous 4 games.

I'm thinking this will be a breakout season for him.

EDIT:  Finishes up with a 4 hit night.

Is it time to get behind Jeff Mandel?  He's been pretty damn good this year.
