i feel bad for the 360 owners who now have no MLB game

maybe EA will get back in the game, but i feel like their revenues have been declining and starting from basically scratch again could be very financially risky

MVP was the crap. I liked both The Show and MLB2K, but MVP was much better.

I mean, in 2005 MVP was the best obviously, but the Show is far and away the best baseball game ever made (thanks to technology, etc). The only thing I think MVP still did a better job with was the owner's/franchise mode. I hope MVP comes back because I think it was an amazing game.

MVP is still the crap if you get the mods for PC :D :D

Only problem is the ages are all messed up. Basically, Bryce Harper is 13.

Most EA sports games are total crap, so if you expect them to put out some amazing product again I wouldn't hold my breath. EA is a totally dysfunctional company at this point.

2K canceling the series is not good news for MVP fans, either. Lack of competition makes EA lazy.

EA doesn't have a baseball game. The Show would continue on.

EA isn't coming back into baseball till the next generation of consoles.

Feel bad for 360 owners... But that's what can happen with exclusive licenses.

Don't get me wrong...I love the Show. It's just that MVP was so freaking easy to pick up and get right in to. I really liked it and, while the Show is great, it's still not as fun to me.

I can see some third party company making a baseball game. Someone needs to realize that 360 doesn't have a baseball game

FIFA and NCAA Football are always badazz and Madden is hit and miss, otherwise it seems EA struggles with sports game.

I'd pay a very large amount of money for College Hoops 2k13. Even if they just updated rosters and team styles of play, added more arenas, and spruced up the graphis a little, I would love it. I still play 2k8 and it is the coolest game ever. NBA 2k is tons of fun, but CH 2k was just... Amazing.

I get really upset when I realize someday a decade from now I'll be in my 30's locked in a dark room playing 2k8 and my disk, from many years of hard use, will become unreadable and I'll never again have CH2k in my life.... :'(

Obviously. Everyone in the thread was rooting for a MLB series continuation now that the exclusivity deal is up.

This. 2K8 is one of the best sports games of all time.

I wish there was a way to make the 2k series have better interface, more indepth franchise, and good controls

Hell, if they'd just update NBA2K12 and include college teams and all the bells and whistles of CH2K8, I'd be so happy.

Agreed. There were a lot of bells and whistles, though. Legacy mode is DEEP! :)

:az:

It looks pretty obviously like a skinned NBA game based on the gameplay, but it's nice to see what type of things would be possible if 2k would put out another game.

UConn is my new closed legacy team, btw. Went UCR -> Kent State -> UConn.

2k Sports should have kept the NFL games and EA should have kept MVP going. Too bad.

MVP! 05 still owns. Unless they've been developing though, I doubt they could drop a 2013 game

I'm with you brother. Very hard to get any games down here. Just got Bigs 2 for Wii the other day. OK to play, but it's mainly for the kids. Good time waster l suppose.
