Yeah, I read somewhere a few weeks ago that Guzman wants to test free agency. Probably the smartest thing for him to do. This is probably his last chance to REALLY get paid.

We have to deal him in the next week or two then.

See, just 3 minutes into the game you can see it is not going to be a good night. 2 hard hit balls = 2 outs.

Now someone might actually want Guzman, unlike most of what else we have to offer.

Guz is batting 10/54 (.185) against Hudson in his career.

Good start.

Quote
Just before the game, the Nationals removed Dmitri Young from their lineup because of a high blood-sugar level. He has been replaced by Ryan Langerhans, who will play LF. Paul Lo Duca will play 1B. Estrada moves from seventh in the lineup to fifth. Langerhans will bat eighth, and Kory Casto -- initially batting eighth -- will bat seventh.

Harris - CF
Lo Duca - 1B
Guzman - SS
Kearns - RF
Estrada - C
Belliard - 2B
Casto - 3B
Langerhans - LF
Redding - P

Definitely the WORST lineup EVER.  >:(

Everybody's diabetes is different and some people handle it better than others but it can't help that Dmitri is always a biscuit or two away from three bills.

I find it difficult to believe that if he lost a hundred or so pounds that he'd have fewer problems with his diabetes.

Still 0-0. Just a double. :(

Take a happy pill bro. Lopez could be playing SS.

This team is full of bums.  How do you sit down Flowers and Meat for Walnuts and Fat Johnny?

OT (from MLBTR):

The Phillies were recently working on a blockbuster with Colorado that would have netted them Brian Fuentes and Matt Holliday for something like Shane Victorino, J.A. Happ, Carlos Carrasco, and Lou Marson.

That would be crazy.

To the 8th hitter with 2 outs and the pitcher on deck.

That will do it with this collection of bums on display tonight.  We need to deal Redding as soon as possible.  His value will never be higher.

This was completely inexcusable. The target was low and out of the strike zone and he served it up like it was a HR derby pitch. He missed the target by at least 2 feet.   :?

Okay Manny... get some paper, take some notes.  This is called run production.  This is how you win games.
