I actually set the DVR up for the next 7 games every week, even if I get to watch it, just in case there is something fantastic like the throw-back game ... or maybe a no hitter.  Still waiting on that one.

Mets Argue in Dugout After Loss

:lmao:

With only one win since the All-Star break and no home wins since 7th July, amid the relentless pounding of the New York media, that Mets clubhouse must be an absolute snake-pit.

Maybe they might shake some of it off with their 11-match Western road trip that starts tomorrow (Arizona/SF/SD) but I think (and say with a bit of caution at the back of my mind) that they've pretty much flushed the post-season with this slump.

The Phillies on the other hand are all but eliminated but they're still fighting.

They've actually been giving off some vital signs lately - they've won seven of their last ten; again as you state probably too late to save the post-season, but they certainly afren't running up the white flag.

Sorry I missed the game.   You know ... work.     :(   But I'll take a  :w:  any time!

Anyone know if the broadcast is being repeated this evening?

Thanks.

DVR the repeat performance!

How'd I do?  I tried to announce scores etc throughout!  Even repeated funny stuff from FP

That 3-2 curve to Wright was a thing of beauty. Caught him looking.

Damn, Strasburg pitched a gem.

Yeah, true.  I could do that, thanks.  But we're playing the Brewers tomorrow, right?   There's just so many TV-watching hours in a day, ya know.   ;)

During yesterday's post-game, Knight predicted the Phillies will finish 3rd in the NL East (behind Nats and Braves).

arguments happen on all teams.  most just go behind the scenes.  some are so quick, the untrained eye won't be able to catch it.

What's amazing is that two different people remember Ed Stroud...who had a pretty good year in 1969 -- the last year a Washington baseball team finished above .500. A really good player until he was hit in the face by a pitch in '70. We also have a Tim Cullen.
