How are you going to put the guy on the innings limit out there again but pull Gio and JZimm with such low pitch counts?

Um no.  You'd take the Nationals top 3 over the Phillies.

The Phillies announcers were talking about how you'd take Halladay, Lee and Hamels over any other top 3.  Then they talked about Blanton or Worley as the best #4.

they're all delusional up there in Philly...too many cheesesteaks make them irrational

Yeah... I really don't understand the reasoning for throwing Strasburg out there in a 5-1 game.

Oh well.

You'd take the Giants top 3 over the Phillies too.

i think over body of work for a career you have to respect that phillies 3 and they still have the edge, but going forward there's no way i want them over our guys.

and overall our rotation is the best, certainly in the NL, and probably in all of baseball

I like that Stras is pissed about giving up a long fly ball.

Outside of Hawk they have the most biased, homer announcers in baseball.

Give the Pen a break?

yeah starters are geared to throw 100+ pitches and he's not even there yet.

Stras obviously is a special case, but that's one hell of a start right there

Not gonna complain about putting Stras out there.  He was dealing and he's gotta learn to go deep into games.

Plus, ever since the Braves collapse I'm not gonna put any game in the books until the final out is recorded.

It doesn't even matter because the Nats' offense smokes theirs.

It might be purely coincidence but it's like night and day for Strasburg when the weather is very hot and when it's not.
