Can Mrs. Morse keep up?
Oh yeah, we usually ride at a leisure pace and chat and take in the scenery. She rides a hybrid that's an upright ride, so we usually take it slow and easy. I did test the limits of me and the Cross Check today - needless to say I have a lot of leg strength to build up before I can out pedal the gears.
When you say not like running in place, do you mean that the crank is farther forward?
My old bike was a 19" mountain bike I'd put slicks on that was way too small for me. With the hooded handlebars and longer and taller frame, I can finally get the 90˚ angle you should have for proper cycling form. My gut is still a problem, but the geometry of the bike is SOOOOOO much better than my old mountain bike. On my old bike I couldn't lean over at all - I was pretty much running in place anytime I needed to pick up some speed.
