You cannot expect them to come up with their own threads too? I'm amazed that they managed to get an URL and a message board up and running...

As someone who grew up rooting for the Orioles, I can safely say that any Nats fan still rooting for that team is an insane masochist.

I guess it helped that the team became a complete trainwreck from 2001-2003 that just couldn't sustain my interest, but I was driven from tepid supporter to full-blown hater overnight once I learned just how much Angelos had to do with keeping a team out of DC.

And after attending enough Nats/O's series, I can safely say that Baltimore fans are a bunch of mouth-breathing jackoffs who've driven me to root against that team long after Angelos kicks the bucket.

Not so shocking when you take into account the duality of some "Nats" fans. Hammonds is probably a friend of the writer and probably tipped him off to the existence of the thread.  :poke:

That guy seems obsessed with the Nationals. Trashed Bryce Harper before he came up last year.

I've met Dominic at a couple games way back when, he used to post on the Os and Nats MLB boards and based on his description I said hello walking into the 2nd Nats game at Camden Yards in 2006.  I also ran into him at a business man's special game at RFK, he and his sister were literally the only ones sitting in their section but the usher wouldn't let me hang out an talk with him because I didn't have the right ticket (same usher now works behind the visitors dugout).

Dom likes to try to root for both teams, but certain members of the fan base have a problem with that, so he mainly sticks with the Os.

That's why I played ball.  TV sucked.   To this day, I'd rather be outside in any kind of weather than watch TV unless it's sports related   ....  even then it can be a toss up.

Growing up and into my 30s I felt that way, always played a ton of sports, but the wife and kids have dragged my down.

Living out here in western Maryland, we have a lot of o's and pirates fans. There's a small contingent of nats fans, but not many that I'm aware of. I tried to follow the Os and buccos as a kid but never could become a fan. I was a huge Will Clark fan however so I followed whoever he was playing for. When he retired, I was left homeless. When the spos moved, it was a natural fit and I haven't looked back. Can't wait for the season to begin

I tell the yunguns at the playground, "I can't run.  I can't jump.   I don't play defense.   However, I will shoot from the corner all day long."   I played well into my 30's (didn't get married until I was 42).   Went skiing in Utah in the late 70's and bombed my knee and that was the end of any side to side quick stop cutting activities.   I now run and go to the gym.   I ran today.   It was a bit chilly.   It was running into the damn wind that wore me out but it was a great day to be outside.

To quote the SI article on Harper, "You look too comfortable right now."    It's spring training rookie.    :poke:

Didn't let Tomboys play baseball at 10 yr old.  It was bad enough I liked Tonka trucks and GI JOE "action figures"

You've got that right, both of them should be sentenced to a year of posting only on Twitter.
