Were you watching when Jordan Zimmermann gave up 3 runs to the Phillies on the road to choking away the NL East crown!?

Expect it.

Jordan couldn't have pitched worse. None of the guys are pitching with any confidence. Only Strasburg looks like he is in playoffs form and he's about to get shut down fittingly. :?

The offense isn't doing jack either, so my blame goes to them first.  The pitching staff has been doing pretty damn well this season.  JZ can give up 1 run, 3 runs, or 18 runs - if we don't score one lousy run, it doesn't make a difference.

And this series is followed up by a trip to the house of horrors in Miami where the Nats almost never win a game. God, I hope this isn't the beginning of a late season meltdown like Atlanta and Boston last year.

Davey has to bat lefty Bernadina because our bench is so depleted.

They didn't have a prayer vs Cliff Lee even before the game started. He owns them and they know it. We needed Desi and Morse in there to have any type of shot.

Morse and Desmond injured is killing us. Not only are they not in the lineup but they are dead spots on the roster.

Espinosa can't hit whatsoever. He should have tried to bunt too

Remember how Jordan Zimmermann went at least 6 IP in each of his first 21 starts? Well, now he's failed to go 6 in 4 of his last 5 starts.

Yay.

Harper is slow as freak good lord. He has lost a ton of speed

If Zimmermann breaks down, and with Strasburg getting shut down, we're going to have to rely on Lannan, Jackson and Detwiler to carry the day.

Harper's speed doesn't translate to infield hits.  It's so damn frustrating.

Harper never beats out infield hits any more. He's gotten noticeably slower.

All he hits are dribbley-poop grounders.  Maybe they're not hits because they're all that come off his bat.  No need to play deep on him at this point.
