Micah is so reliable...

You were saying? Actually, Micah has been very good against righties, but not against lefties. Manny needs a statistician/sabermatrician. They've missed matchup advantages. A clown like Loe Piniella with a stacked, high-paid staff can afford to play brain-dead, matchup baseball. But Manny needs every detail he can get his hands on.

It really amazes me that while King was out, Bowie was the only lefty in the bullpen when he was getting shelled by lefties. Did no one in the organization see this? They should have had Traber in the bullpen.

We're all done. Suddenly, Erica's question about Don Sutton joining our staff doesn't seem too unreasonable anymore.

hell roger clemens is like what 50, and look at him now. he is back with the skanks...

i say im all for DON on the MOUND

Is Bob Carpenter brain dead asking why Manny would pinch hit for Nook?

Yep here we go...only time we ever get hits is when we are down by too much to do anything.

I don't know about anyone else but these type of losses are worse than blowouts.  Game after game is there for us to win but   we always manage to lose.  So close yet so far... And what do ya know, Abreu and Bowie's screwups immediately come back to haunt us.

I prefer these losses. I'd rather the young team that is destined to lose to feel that they are at least in games. It keeps them battling.

So we scored the run we needed but we gave up another deuce along the way.

Our ****ing joke of an offense has now scored 4 or fewer runs in 14 consecutive games.  Tomorrow is Ex-National Claudio Vargas' turn to dominate us.

Overall, yes if you look at both age and experience.

Oh, well. I will make another plea for my lineup:

My lineup:

Lopez (SS)
Zimmerman (3B)
Church (LF)
Young (1B)
Kearns (RF)
Belliard (2B)
Langerhans (CF)
Schneider/Flores (C)

Replace Fick with Young and I'd like to see Guzman play for a few weeks before we demote him to the bench to see if he has anything left.

What-the-Fick DOUBLES.  KARMA!!!!

I have Francisco Cordero and Hardy on my 2 fantasy teams, DUMPED CHAD C. on Sunday (H2H), and replaced him with Dempster H2H, who is about to get a save for the Cubs.  Eases the pain of seeing another winnable Nationals game pissed away...
FICK SCORES AGAIN ON A WILD PITCH!!!!!!!
Meaningless..

FINAL SCORE:
Nationals 4
Brewers 6

I'm ok with Young/Fick at 1B, but then I would need to change up the order a bit. If Fick and and Guzman must both play, I would go with this:

Lopez (2B)
Zimmerman (3B)
Church (LF)
Kearns (RF)
Fick (1B)
Langerhans (CF)
Guzman (SS)
Schneider/Flores (C)
