There's zero construction and no funding lined up. Welcome to reality.

For those who want to find out what's going in the neighborhood, check jdland.com. Yes, there's much movement on the development front. It won't happen by the end of the year but it will happen within 2-5 years.

Edit: JDland says "It's starting to be quite a tote board of projects that "could" begin in 2013. Florida Rock residential, the Park Chelsea, the new Yards Parcel N building, Square 701.... Maybe we should start a pool!"

I'm not sure what's funnier - that all of the crap being built there has WHITEY blasted all over it or that the audience for the article you linked to has more to do with the Pet Shop Boys and Kneel-and-Bobbin than the suburban MLB crowd.

Welcome back, MDS. We missed you.

That's totally what the suburban baseball crowd needs - another tourist trap grease pit.

Look at it this way: as more of these places actually do go up, that means more places for people to go post-match...which should ease the crowding on the Metro going home.

That's right, it looks like next year for the first time ever there will be large restaurant/bar space in sight of Nats Park and that's only good.

Maybe GB won't be ready by then but the restaurants at the Boilermakers shops will be.

From JDland:
In June 2011, Forest City announced a list of restaurants for the space, including Bluejacket (a brewery from the Churchkey and Birch and Barley team) Huey's 24/7 Diner, Buzz Bakery, and Willie's Brew and 'Que sportsbar.

JD recently posted pictures of the Boilermaker shops at http://www.jdland.com/dc/sfc.cfm?tab=no2&filter=167

Congrats on being a bullcrapter.  I asked you about the PIT on Half Street - there's nothing happening with it.

You asked me if I think they will be doing something there in the next three years. I said "Without a doubt."

Do you honestly think they'll do anything with the big pit on Half Street within the next 3 years?

I just wish that Boss set up a sock puppet account that was a flower child.   "Did you hear the mommas and the papas are doing a reunion tour?  They are selling tickets for a meditation and seance at the  Verizon center.  Groovy!"
