Kurt Suzuki Appreciation Thread
« Topic Start: September 06, 2012, 10:14:56 PM »
Gio and Zimmermann and some of the bullpen guys were starting to suck, and the beat writers were blaming Flores.

Somebody please look up the pitching numbers before and after Suzuki - my money is on a serious improvement.

Bat heating up as he gets more comfortable!  I had hoped that would happen and now it is.  Could be huge down the stretch and in October if he stays a threat at the plate.

TribeTime was right.  We need to get rid of this scrub!!!!

Though in all seriousness I think Zimmermann had a tough time adjusting to Suzuki for a bit and vice versa.  But they seem to be on point now.

I really should put that ohio dipcrap cracker on ignore, but he'll probably get banned before I get around to it.  Or he'll die in a horrible power mower accident or kerosene fire.  Who cares.

But in any event, Suzuki-san is crushing for us!!

SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZ

I can't wait for Ramos to come back though. He and Suzu are going to be the best Catcher core in baseball.

I suspect that Ramos might have nearly as hard a recovery as Flores did: a catcher works with his knees a lot -- squat, stand, throw...and Ramos is a big guy: a lot of weight for a repaired knee to lift.

I won't be surprised if Suzuki is the starter next season, with Flores or Solanno or Leon as backup.

Looks like Ramos is trying to lose weight just for that reason.

It's about time we applauded Kurt - he's been a wonderful addition.  Definately better defensively than Ramos

i think next year ramos and suzuki makes the best catching tandem in all of baseball.

suzuki is a clear upgrade over Flores.

In the post game interview, Zimmnn called him Zuke, or Zook.

Well, we called Meiklejohn "Klej," so taking something in the middle as a nickname has precedent.

Ramos and Suzuki are  identical for the number of AB's and AVG and HRS at this point in the season. Slash lines are similar.

Hitting .265/.340/.410 as a Nat, with 3 HR, 14 RBI and 9 walks to 8 strikeouts as a Nat.

In the last 2 weeks (9 games; 37 PAs), he's hitting .387 and is OPS'ing 1.196 (6 walks to 1 strikeout - awesome).

Yeah I don't know why. I think Ramos is/will be the best catcher this team has.
