Boil 2 quarts of water, use 4 bags, and let it sit for like an hour?

sounds right. The thing is you want a starting point so you can gauge how to dial it in.

Ok, seriously.  How do you make iced tea?  Mine is always either too strong and bitter or too weak with no flavor :?

i take a glass half-gallon bottle, fill it with filtered water, drop in about 6 tea bags, add some agave nectar and put it in the sun for a few hours.  I use green tea bags.

This Ocean Spray Sparkling Cranberry that I learned about from our very own Collin Balester is delicious.

Years of bad bullcrap coffee finally turned me into a tea drinker.

The cafe in the Smithsonian sculpture garden had coffee that tasted like battery acid.

I quit soda about a month ago. I've been an avid soda drinker since I was a teen, but then I saw my friend clean his bong out with Coco Cola and I swore it all off after that. I can't imagine what that junk has been doing to my insides.

So aside from using soda for drink mixers occasionally, I'm done.

You should give this a try before you throw in the towel.  I can only have one or two a week, being a diabetic and all, but this is the best drink ever:

Throwback drinks use real sugar instead of fructose cornsyrup.  COKE sold around the Jewish holidays is that way.  I guess it has to use natural sugar to be kosher?

An excellent decision.

I gave it up 18+ years ago, except for a very occasional Sprite or 7 Up. And that is only a few times a year.
After drinking Coke everyday for about 25 years I don't miss it.

i don't do coffee, tea, five hour energy ... so i go with pepsi/coca cola.

never more than two a day.

and the throwback pepsi is awesome.  reminds me of the early 90s.

I had to give up alcohol and certain foods and won't miss them, giving up soda is something I just can't do.

Regarding soda, I thought the same thing. Until I got so sick one night that was very likely caused by the 2 soda's I drank. I tried to get myself off of it and was well on my way. That night cured me for good.

It was more of a habit for me and that is exactly what you are describing.

i've tried to give up soda, i've read too many awful things about high fructose corn syrup to want to put that stuff into my body.

That's kosher for passover coke. It's the corn in the corn syrup. One of the grains you can't eat, even though it isn't being used to make a flour and make a bread or cake.

I gave up soda in August. If I go out to dinner, which isn't a lot, I'll have one. It's better then putting down 5 Mt. Dews or Sprites on a daily basis. My drink of choice now is filtered water. However, I am tempted to tryout a Mt. Dew throwback, but I haven't had a soda or any drink with caffeine in it for 2 years, so no clue wth it would do to me. :P

Gl to anyone who's trying to quit. It was easy for me, but I know how hard it is for some people.

...as does new Sierra Mist Natural (also from PepsiCo) - pretty good tasting too.

Picked up some Sencha today.  I used to hate the stuff, because Japanese green tea tastes like grass or seaweed, but I kind of liked it when I had some today.  Sort of a change of pace from my black teas, because it tastes grassy and has a grassy / seaweed-like aroma.
