2009 NFL Playoff Pick 'Em (Division)
« Topic Start: January 11, 2010, 09:12:46 AM »
Bengals bounce back to beat the Jets, Sanchez will fold against that defense and Palmer and crew are angry.
Cowboys will beat the Eagles at home (the Cowboys have to win at least one more playoff game this century)
Ravens will crush the Patriots with Welker gone
Arizona will stun Green Bay
I'm picking the Chargers vs. Cowboys in the SB, but I wouldn't be surprised to see AZ shock the world a 2nd time and go to Miami.

3 out of 4!

Next round:
Arizona beats NO
Dallas shocks the Vikings
Colts beat Ravens
Chargers stomp a mud hole into the Jets

Chargers over J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets (Rex Ryan's Superbowl run is abruptly ended)

Cowboys over Vikings (Brett Favre will tearfully retire from pro football after the game for the sixth or seventh time, thus kicking off the ESPN will he or won't he frenzy for the next 6-7 months)

Saints over Cardinals (JMad named this one the Madden Bowl. I think that is probably appropriate. The problem is that I don't score points like crazy on Madden. My Ravens teams on Madden usually win by scores like 24-10 or 17-14. Does that mean that I suck at Madden? And no...I don't have Trent Dilfer or Elvis Grbac as my QB.)

Finally...the BerkeleyNat upset special of the week:

Raven over the Colts. (The black birds come out and smack the Colts right in the mouth, claiming a shocking victory. Indy's had their feet up on the desk for too long to match the intensity that the Ravens will bring.)

These picks are rock solid folks. Run out and make those bets right now and tell'em that Berkeley sent you!  ;)

Welcome aboard the Purple and Black Superbowl train Chief, PA, and ronny. You guys know how to pick'em.....except for those Vikings picks (and that Cardinals pick by Chief).

We're always serving purple Koolaid on the train. Drink up.  :koolaid:

I only picked the Vikings because I hate the Cowboys.  I think the Cardinals could surprise, but I mainly picked them because I like to pull for the underdog.  I mean hey, I correctly predicted Tim Redding QS against the Nats last season, and I also correctly predicted the Redskins to win SuperBowl XXII (at the age of 7 I might add  )

Jets
Colts
Cowboys
Saints

Side predictions:
1. The Cardinals are more likely to beat the Saints than the Vikings are to beat the Cowboys.
2. I will be wrong about the Chargers-Jets game. The Chargers will win in a laugher. But I still predicted the Jets like a fool. Of course, the last time I picked a New York team like a fool, I said the Giants would beat the Patriots by three points.

It's a crapshoot. That Cards/Saints game is a toss up in my opinion, much like the Cowboys/Vikings game. The Chargers and Colts should be favored and they are likely going to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if both of them lost. That's the NFL for you. Much like last week, I picked the Ravens with my heart instead of my brain. It worked for me last week, so I went with the heart again.

Chargers in the SB, most likely FTW, sorry to disappoint. I like Modell's though.

Oh great. I picked the same as Jmad... I hope we don't get all of them completely wrong. IMO we'll both get all of them completely right.
