When the MN is 25, dig up that Anna Chapman picture in the Putin game thread, divide it into 25 sections, and reveal a section each time the number decreases.

Yes we have been and it feels good. After 33 years of nothing and another 8 years of getting our faces shoved into the mud who can blame us?

Last day of season is one month from Labor Day.  We have 4 with the Cards and one with the Cubs through Labor Day.  We have 78 wins.  Very good chance at matching '05 win total of 81 with one month left in the season, and a respectable chance that we could top it.

NO the world won't end they just ran out of calendar rocks. The rock suppliers screwed up and sent the last of their stock to Egypt for their Hieroglyphics. The Mayan economy never recovered. :mg:

We're starting to pass some WNFF'rs preseason predictions on total wins for the season.  At the other end of the spectrum, Bloo's prediction of 110 wins is still within reach....     :P

Really?  :?
I'd love to see them reach 100 which is technically still in reach but even that is no guarantee.

Well lets see we are at 79-51 = 130 games played 32 to go we need to win 21 of those remaining 32 games which means losing only 11.  Winning two thirds of our remaining games is no simple feat. WE still have to meet each of our division rivals for 3 more games each (6 with Phrackin Phillie). I think sweeping the Red Sox in Boston was an easier feat than winning 2/3 of our remaining games, and that was no picnic. hmmmm 10 more season series to play to WIN those 10 we need to win 23 games that would put us at 2 over 100 wins. We might lose a few of those series but still 100 wins is not yet out of the picture.

Where is that thread anyway? I don't remember if I predicted anything or not.

I voted 85 wins or less although I don't really remember why. No wonder I am so happy with team, they seem destined to exceed expectations.

You're still working on it.

I will think over my prediction later but this damn well better be the first season where we win more than we lose. No wonder these fools were unwilling to climb into the clown car for a caravan tour.

As for me, no pu$$yfooting around, I came out with a clear declaration that we'd win 86+.      :?

Amazing how many people thought our offense would be bad.

Yeah. I remember seeing it, thinking that is a lot of predictions, and thinking yeah I'll do that later. Likely got distracted by the the beer thread or laughing at someone who thought we were going to sign Pujols.

We need an enthusiastic newbie/intern to go back through the prediction thread and compile a list of each predictor, sorted in order so that we can heap scorn, ridicule, and derision upon each analyze and discuss as their prediction becomes mathematically impossible.

Commence ridicule.  We surpassed my prediction last night.

I've never been happier to be wrong.

I predicted 85 wins. Feel free to question my SSS cred.

But I think I did predict Harper would make the all-star team though!

I had 10 minutes to burn.

No sorting. This is each poster that voted + the number of wins they predicted.

haha, with ~30 games to play, I think you'd have to agree I have better odds than the rest of the field to be closest to their actual win total.  Maybe this explains some of my frustration with the Strasburg shutdown, I can legitimately claim I expected them to be about this good...

When it gets down to 24, should somebody create an Nats Advent Calendar? Maybe an image that gets slowly revealed with every Nats win or Braves loss?
