i dont give a single freak about this, but i dont think we can/should be/will be outbid by anyone in baseball for Bryce Harper. It'll be his decision whether he wants to stay with the same team and guys that have been good to him for his whole career or if he really wants to go to the pinstripes. If we're outbid, then what the freak are we waiting to spend our money on?
If Harper develops like everyone thinks he will, he may be able to use DiMaggio's line when asked what Steinbrenner would have to offer him if he was still playing in the 70s. DiMaggio is reported to have said something along the lines of, "George would have to call me partner."
