Riggleman confirmed on the radio yesterday that Rodriguez was the centerpiece of the trade.
:spit: there is nothing more erratic that the performance of a bullpen arm, especially a flame thrower like Rodriguez, why on earth did we center a trade around him?

:lmao: Both players look like garbage.

Corey Brown is striking out 35.5% of the time in AAA to go along with a .202 BAA and a .644 OPS.

Henry Rodriguez has no command and will continue to hurt us in the pen the rest of the season.

Just a bad, bad trade. We had to dump Willingham in his walk year but we couldn't get anything even slightly better?

You guys are sad. Seriously. I'm just as frustrated as the next guy, but you all come off as a bunch of emo douches. Really, if you're that miserable, jump on another team's bandwagon. That fact that people are shocked because we suck is hilarious. At best, I figure this to be a 70-75 win team. Guess what, we are in the neighborhood and will probably be just below that. Surprised? No. I'm frustrated and I want to see changes, but I don't want to see knee jerk reactions because fans are pissed that the actual product is exactly as it was expected to be. Sorry we don't lose flashy enough for you. I guess you like to see panache in our suckdom. Oh well, Espi's not hitting, but he's playing some damn good defense, as expected and Desi has, surprise, tightened up his D considerably.

You know what, freak it. I'm going to keep watching and rooting for this team and when they finally make it to the next level, I'll be celebrating like all hell, even if I am all by myself. Have fun wringing your hands.

I got news for you dude. If/when the Nats contend you will not be by yourself. Maybe it makes you feel better to think you're a better fan than those who deal with this team differently but all the gloom and doomers have been around for a long time and will continue to be around for a long time. These people aren't bandwagon or fair weather fans. With this team, it's a joke to even suggest they should go jump on another team's bandwagon.

why does this team constantly have to be in the $50-60 million range?  why the hell can't they go up to 100 like half the league is?

Do you really need to ask this question?

I would be quite satisfied with 80-85 as long as it was spent intelligently.  I had modestly hoped for them to break 70 this season.  No comment on that.

You're being kind Chief. This team should've eclipsed the 70 mark years ago.

Guys that are great to watch and that I really dig: Bernadina, Morse, Espinosa, Desmond, Zimmerman, Zimmermann, Livo, Storen, Burnett and, surprisingly, Cora.  I think some people, myself included, are just tired of us signing bums to bad contracts and watching the team crap the bed.  Werth and LaRoche, right now, are looking like total busts.

What are you talking about?  Half those guys you mentioned suck and Werth has been pretty good.

congratulations, you are the greatest fan in the history of fans.

you are so much more of a Nats fan than all of us, and anyone else who isn't "just happy to have baseball" and those of us who actually care about whether the team wins or loses, and whether the team has any chance of ever playing in the playoffs or ever winning a championship.

Nobody else here except you is a Nats fan at all.

We should all bow to your Holier-Than-Us fandom.
