How can we complain about Scott Olsen or even Jason Marquis at his worst when compared to Charlie Morton's numbers?

We are 11.5 games ahead of them.  We have some luxury.  Plus, they probably don't have anyone else to replace him with.  Or they just don't care.  I don't know...I haven't complained about Olsen or Marquis.

Took me a while to find the text that tied that made that image pertinent. :)

Since John Lannan first appeared here, I've been convinced that he's the reincarnation of a silent movie star.

Rocketman and John Lannan. Separated at birth.

Not sure about that reference.  Please explain.

Seriously, though, Lannan hasn't had many high stress situations.  Obviously, I'm not on the field and I do not know how John is feeling, but if he says he is okay, I would send him out there.

Now former Royals manager, Trey Hilliman, left Meche in for what ended up being 132 pitches in a meaningless blowout win last year.  Meche immediately went from a reliable, healthy starter to 3 DL trips in 15 months with only two starts over 6 IP.  Just wasted his arm on a meaningless IP or two, and effectively ended his career.

I didn't know that. I knew he had a history of injuries, and that he went to pieces last year, but I didn't know if was following a long game.

Cannons, when you're on your game, you're good.

He got in 4-5 more starts, but a couple were less than 4 IP and it just ruined him.  That was after 3 years of good health.

Gracious...Charlie Morton, their starter for tomorrow has to be one of the worst regular starters in the history of baseball!

How do you go 1-10 with a 10+ ERA and a 1.97 WHIP and STILL be starting???

And "not" be on our club!

Riggleman must be going nuts, it's the 8th and no double-switches so far.

So for the Nationals' 2 free seats with 2 season tickets, plus the rest of this season free... are they talking about games being played in Pittsburgh at PNC Park?

8th   M Morse singled to center, I Desmond scored.   9   1
8th   R Cedeno doubled to left, P Alvarez scored, L Milledge thrown out at home.

Nationals 9
Pirates     2

He had a shoulder injury earlier in his career, right?

that's a pretty amazing deal, something tells me we wouldn't see buy 2 get 2 free night if #37 were pitching next year.
