Jason Simontacchi (2-4, 5.61 ERA) gets the start for the Nationals in the opener. The right-hander was reached for six runs - four earned - in 4 2-3 innings on Sunday in a 7-3 loss to San Diego.

The right-hander will make his first career appearance against Minnesota.

The Twins will counter with right-hander Carlos Silva (3-6, 3.86), who has posted a 2.53 ERA in five starts at the Metrodome this year.

On Saturday, Silva held Oakland to one run and five hits in eight innings, but took the loss as Minnesota managed only three hits in the 1-0 defeat.

So is the ERA under Silva's picture incorrect? I'm hoping we put up at least 6 runs.

We've actually hit the Twins at a good point in the rotation.  We could win this game or the third game.  Silva and Boof aren't that great.  We should be able to hit them.

The second game of this series...doesn't look too good.  :|

Prince William County MASN is out.  I have a black screen with the words:

"Channel 40 "MASN 2W" needs authorization key" in green.

When you call Comcast you wait on hold for 10 minutes then get disconnected.

Yeah I figured it out.  But why the hell do they black out MASN2 channel if there's nothing on there?  Why can't they just play C-Span2 which is what it is when there's no baseball game.  Just confusing to black out the screen - makes you think the game is on that channel and you are "experiencing technical difficulties!"  Whatever...

For me (DIRECTV) the screen stays black when there is no game on. Tomorrow night's game will also be on UPN 20 BTW. I have all the games programmed on my DIRECTV so they come on at the time on the appropriate channel.

Nice at bat by Zimmerman. Not so nice for Young.
