Aren't they paid by the team? Are you going to stick the broadcasters at a Motel 6 while the players stay at the Hyatt?

Why not?  :)

Nicely turned.  Way to save Oswalt for the next inning!

They are paid by MASN, I would assume.

Olsen's pitch count is rising too.
Through 2 innings:
Olsen 27 (18 for strikes)
Oswalt 41 (31 for strikes)

I'm listening to the radio broadcast and they're talking about Strasburg at the hotel last night and that you wouldn't have known that anything had happened during the game from how he looked.

I find it so odd that the broadcasters (tv too, Bob and Rob) have such an "intimate" relationship with the players.  Why in the world do the broadcasters have to travel and stay with the team?

...other than that it's cheaper...
Do you think Dibble has talked with any of our young pitchers at any time during the season. Giving them pointers, advice etc...You bet I do. I hope they are listening. I am sure HOF'er Don Sutton gave advice too. Jim Palmer , for the O's, giving advice. If I were a player I would sure listen to what they have to say.

Yes, but MASN contracts them out to the team, don't they? It's like working for the government as a contractor. Per Diem for official travel comes out of the government's pocket.

I like when Nyjer bunts for hits. He should do that at least once a game IMO

Honestly, I have no idea how this works.

Don't like Morgan sacrificing there.  Dumb call.

We've had runners in scoring position every inning and have bupkus for it!

Bunt for hit, right? He could have done it on his own for all we know.

He was bunting for a hit. If he got it a little closer to the line, he would have easily been safe.

This contract BS is clearly affecting Dunn.  Cheap ass Lerners.

And Olsen was on the bases for most of the inning instead of resting in the dugout.

Bull
He is slumping, all players go through this. He's also a career sub .250 hitter not a .270 one.

That will do it.  Olsen about to fall apart.  Pitchers abuse our pitching.

Just like in the first inning, their half of the inning sets up just like ours.  Who want to bet Oswalt scores, unlike Olsen?

The Nats are not an Employee leasing company. MASN has their own guys, expenses, per diem etc... different from the Nats. The Nats don't control what Dibble or anyone else says on the broadcast. MASN has its own " Policing Department." The clubs have to abide by the " Collective bargaining agreement through the MLB Players Union for its players."
