oh i have no clue about those arrows... from a righty's perspective:

slider moves right to left, usually low to mid 80s
4 seam fastball moves straight, usually low to mid 90s
curveball moves right to left and drops, usually in the mid 70s
2 seam fastball moves right to left, mid 80s to low 90s
cutter is the opposite of a 2 seamer
changeup drops a little, in the low 80s

those are the main pitches. do you know how to throw them though?

In real life or in game? In game I think I do. For a slider, if I remember it right, you move the right stick to the 8 O'clock position, and when the ring fills with color, you spin the stick clockwise?

See, it really gives you no indication of timing, am I supposed to be doing this fast or slow or what?

in the game.

for a slider, you go 3 o'clock, then to about 8.

when the ring maxes out, you need to do the 2nd movement. if you nail it, it will say max power or something like that in red.

Yeah, so that's pretty much what I'm doing then. I didn't know you had to account for a balls movement when using the aiming thing.

Yeah, only 2 games played and I've noticed even on Rookie he lumbers about in LF.

yeah. i love throwing sliders... if you aim for it in the K-zone down so that it breaks out of the zone, the CPU swings at it a ton. just be careful you don't over-use it, i was jake peavy (i have him on the nats, he's NASTY) got touched up for 4 runs in an inning cuz i kept throwing down and away. i'm still 5-0 with him with a ~2 ERA.

I wish they'd update some of the player pics though. EG Dunn still had a Reds cap on and Willingham had a Marlins cap.

Yea Nathan, IM a huge 2k9 player. Adjust the settings, even try to download some from the 2k share thing in the features. You should find some realistic settings where scores and hits, etc, will look perfect.

2ksports is a pretty bad company though.

Some screenshots were released for MLB 2K10 and it looks pretty good. They fixed nats park and even put the centerfield scoreboard exactly how it looks

Getting 2k10 for the ps3 is like getting a 1993 Honda Accord when you can get a Bentley. Seriously, the Show will blow 2k out of the water. 2k will be lucky if it can get a franchise mode that isn't completely broken.

I agree completely with this. Get the Show. I'm stuck with 2K and its dreadful so i have to make the best out of a crappy game

Tripled. 2K is the worst baseball series of all time.

Anyone that gets 2K over The Show on PS3... well, I'm not your friend.

No need to hate on 4th gen Accords. I paid $1400 for one, drove it 60,000+ miles over 3 years, and then got $1000 trade-in on it. Great whips.

Early 90's Hondas were the crap. That's when they got their rep as a great, dependable car. My 93 Civic was bulletproof. Slower than blackstrap molasses, but it never stranded me. I don't think they are that great anymore though.

The question for me isn't so much 2k10 or The Show as much as Xbox 360 or PS3. If I get it for PS3, I'll get The Show, but I don't have that choice for Xbox 360.

I don't know if I'll ever buy another console. I buy maybe one game a year for PC, and even then I usually end up disappointed and going back to my old favorites.

I loved Dreamcast. There was this one basketball game that I played on that system for 2 years straight. Didn't even buy another game. Forget what it was called, though. Smoked too much back then.

The Show is the best baseball videogame franchise since Baseball Stars.

it is just simply head and shoulders above the competition. damn shame it is a first party game. 360 owners deserve to play it too.

Get The Show.

I had this past year's 2k baseball game and was terribly disappointed. I thought it was awful, and I usually like 2k games.

I picked up The Show a couple months ago when I got a Playstation. It is the best sports game I have ever played, and the best video game I have played in years. Road to the Show is so unbelievably fun.
