It seems like forever since the last game.  I actually had to make conversation last night.     :?

How the heck do you guys get through the off season then?

But I understand. Decided to watch some soccer instead. It looks so freaking weird to see soccer being played in Fenway Park.

We don't. Everyday we bicker and go at eachothers heads and complain how far Spring Training is... At least I do.

There's always college foozball until early January and the NFL is ok.  It's really only February where you start going crazy.

I have found college basketball much more entertaining lately.

I actually might be done with college football.

Eh, I still like the fun in college football but Pedo State has definitely killed a lot of that lately.

It's VERY hard. I feel spiritually empty during the offseason. #kindajoking #ish

College football and basketball.  I actually really like how the seasons feed into each other.   Just about the time one ends, I'm totally ready for the next one to start with it seems like one special event every year to mix it up. (World Cup, Olympics, etc...).

Will the Brewers' bullpem prove as soft and juicy as it did for the Phillies? One hopes the Nats can keep this hot run going, but Miller Park has historically been rather a difficult venue for them.

For our lads, with one exception it's never been 'Miller time':

2005 (14th-17th July) - 1-3
2006 (2nd-4th June) - 3-0 - our only series win there
2007 (7th-9th May) - 0-3
2008 (8th-11th August) - 0-4
2009 (27th-30th July) - 2-2*
2010 ((23rd-25th July) - 0-3
2011 (23rd-25th May) - 0-3

*Nats lost the last two of this series to start current 8-match losing streak at this venue.

Only 6-18 all-time on the road against this team...compared to this, Coors Field is almost 'Friendly Confines' for us.

---

Also on tap for tonight in the NL East - just one match:

21.40 - Diamondbacks-Mets (Miley vs Harvey)

Travel day for Braves, Phillies (these two go head-to-head at Atlanta starting tomorrow) and Marlins (start home series against Padres tomorrow)..

Hard to believe EJax is 5-6. He has pitched better than that, it seems.

He couldn't even hit the scoreboard?

Back in the 70's there was a defenceman for the New York Rangers whose name eludes me for the moment, a 'defensive' type who didn't rack up a lot of goals or assists...a standing joke was that he couldn't put the puck in the ocean. So he took up that challenge, went down to Battery Park, right up near the water's edge, and tried to put the puck in the ocean.

His first shot hit a parking sign,

LastO - Minty and I talk about college hockey, with reports from special correspondents in Omaha and Hamilton, NY.

College hockey:  Making people want to be in Bridgeport in March since 2009 or so.

Battery Park doesn't border the ocean.   (Sorry, don't mean to be pissy OC.   Was notified today that my job is terminated as of 9/28.   LOL)
